Wow, the kid uses "what she knows" to respond to the question and then she gets points taken off for not using a chart? Um, why not just ask for the chart??
My kids would bomb the questions as well. Thanks for bringing to light the fact that when you are assessing something, at least make sure you're assessing the thing you want to be assessed. Bleh.
I would like there not to be assessments at all, but some of the hokey "imagine yourself to be the number 8" kinds of curricula out there I guess make some form of testing necessary in schools...
